For the community. In 1996, a group of Lake City residents recognized that their remote mountain community — 1+ hours from the nearest hospital — needed a dedicated healthcare safety net. They formed the Lake City Medical Center Endowment Fund with a simple mission: keep healthcare alive in Hinsdale County. Thirty years later, that mission has never been more important. The Endowment Fund now supports three essential healthcare organizations, and the community's generosity has built facilities and funded programs that thousands of residents and visitors depend on every year. The crown jewel: the Moseley Health Care Complex, opened in 2011. 13,000 square feet.
