About LCMC Endowment Fund
OUR STORY
Built by the community.
For the community.
In 1996, a group of Lake City residents recognized that their remote mountain community — 1+ hours from the nearest hospital — needed a dedicated healthcare safety net. They formed the Lake City Medical Center Endowment Fund with a simple mission: keep healthcare alive in Hinsdale County.
Thirty years later, that mission has never been more important. The Endowment Fund now supports three essential healthcare organizations, and the community's generosity has built facilities and funded programs that thousands of residents and visitors depend on every year.
The crown jewel: the Moseley Health Care Complex, opened in 2011. 13,000 square feet. Built with zero taxpayer dollars — entirely through the generosity of donors like you.
Since 2018, over $300k has been granted to our local support organizations

Our Mission
To raise and steward funds that sustain and advance healthcare services in Lake City, Colorado — ensuring that all community members have access to quality medical care regardless of the challenges our remote location presents.

Our Vision
A Lake City where no one goes without healthcare because of distance, cost, or circumstance. Where the quality of care in our mountain community matches the quality of care anywhere in Colorado.

Our Values
Transparency in every dollar. Accountability to every donor. Commitment to every patient. Zero overhead. 98% of every gift reaches the three organizations that deliver healthcare to our community.
