Grant Program

The LCMC Endowment Fund distributes grants to the three healthcare organizations that serve Lake City and Hinsdale County — ensuring every dollar raised goes directly to the care our community depends on.

How It Works

Transparent, accountable grantmaking.

The three supported organizations may submit grant requests in writing to improve healthcare delivery in Lake City during the year. Requests are evaluated by the Board against the Grant Policy guidelines and approved by the Board.

Grants are awarded for capability extensions, endangered programs, needs beyond the organization's financial capability, unforeseen or exceptional needs not part of the normal budget, and employee professional development. Grants are listed in the annual update letters sent to donors and supporters.

Request Submitted

Organizations submit a written grant request detailing the need, amount requested, and expected patient impact.

Board Review and Vote

The Board of Directors reviews and approves grant awards during the year as received, usually within two weeks of submission.

Funds Distributed

Approved grants are funded immediately.
