July 29, 2026 - On July 4, Dr. Dennis Mourning of San Juan Ranch Estates donated a 2013 Polaris 550 Sportsman ATV to the LCMC Endowment Fund for sale. New Lake City Auto and Sports owner James Benefield completed the transaction on with the donation purchase for $4,000.
The Benefields, coming from Austin, Texas took over ownership of Lake City Auto on June 10. Pictured with the ATV are left to right – sons Preston and Parker Benefield, father and new Lake City Auto owner James Benefield, and Endowment Board President Bernie Krystyniak.
Krystyniak said “we are thrilled with the donation from our neighbor Dennis Mourning and our new Lake City business owner and supporter James Benefield. We hope Lake City shares our gratitude for their donation by sending lots of business toward Lake City Auto.”
The proceeds went 100% to the Endowment, a 501(c)(3) established in 1996 with the Mission of supporting quality health care delivery in Lake City through supported organizations Lake Fork Health Service District, Silver Thread Public Health District, and Hinsdale County EMS.
